To Main ERIC Clearinghouses

The U.S. Government closed all the ERIC Clearinghouses on December 19, 2003. On March 18, 2004 the Department of Education announced the award of the contract for the new ERIC system to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) of Rockville, Md. While the new ERIC database is being built, some information may continue to be available at the former clearinghouse Web sites. Additionally, some of the former clearinghouses are maintaining information at new Web sites. Others, such as the ERIC Clearinghouse on Counseling and Student Services, are completely closed. Until the new ERIC database system is developed, you can also access some remaining ERIC information at the official ERIC Web site, www.eric.ed.gov. You can also find news on the status of the new ERIC database at www.lib.msu.edu/corby/education/doe.htm.
